Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Amanda Garcia-Williams, Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion officer, has been selected by Michigan Lawyers Weekly to the “Influential Women of Law” Class of 2022.
The awards program honors women attorneys and judges for their excellent work on behalf of the justice system and for their clients, their commitment to their communities and their service to the profession.
“Although she does not practice in a traditional sense, Amanda leads our firm’s diversity and inclusion efforts for lawyers and staff, including implementation of strategy, best practices, programs, initiatives, and training,” her nominator wrote.
Garcia-Williams, a member of the firm’s virtual office, The Link, joined Husch Blackwell in June 2021 as its first CDO. She is a 2006 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and spent many years as an employment attorney before transitioning full-time into diversity, equity and inclusion roles.
