Partner Hilary Bricken recently spoke with Cannabis Business Executive to discuss joining Husch Blackwell as well as current industry trends.
Bricken highlighted the firm’s national platform and industry-focused approach as a key factor that drew her in. She added that Husch Blackwell allows her to provide her clients additional service offerings, including labor and employment or tax, for example.
“I wanted to be able to offer these kinds of advanced high-level services with specialty attorneys across the nation if that’s what my clients wanted,” Bricken told Cannabis Business Executive. “And big and small, they’ve wanted to do cross-border transactions nationally, or take their brand into another state, and now I feel like I have the arsenal to enable them to do that with me still by their side.”
Bricken also discussed recent industry trends, including the potential rescheduling of cannabis at the federal level which could create new opportunities.
