Demetrius J. Peterson, Husch Blackwell senior counsel in Kansas City, has been selected by The National Black Lawyers for inclusion into its Top 100 Lawyers, an honor given to only a select group of lawyers for their superior skills and qualifications in the field.
Peterson practices in Husch Blackwell’s Healthcare, Life Sciences & Education industry group and counsels educational institutions on alleged violations of institutional policies and federal civil rights laws, including sexual harassment, racial discrimination and harassment, age discrimination and retaliation. He currently serves as Class of 2021 steering committee chair of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s Centurions Leadership Program. Peterson earned his J.D. from University of Kansas School of Law and his B.S. in journalism from University of Kansas.
