Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Massaro has joined the firm’s Chicago office as a partner in its Financial Services & Capital Markets industry group.
Massaro represents borrowers and lenders in sophisticated commercial real estate financings and advises clients on a wide range of commercial real estate transactions, including real estate development, leasing, purchases, sales, and joint ventures. She guides clients through the complexities associated with a variety of property and project categories, including multi-family properties, office and industrial buildings, hotels and casinos, mixed-use projects, and vacant land.
“Elizabeth is a business-savvy lawyer with deep experience in structuring complex real estate-related transactions,” said Husch Blackwell partner Derek Taylor, a co-head of the firm’s Banking & Finance practice. “Our group continues to build on our strengths, and one of those strengths is the ability to field deep and talented teams capable of tackling our clients’ most complex deals.”
“Husch Blackwell is a great fit for me. The firm already has in place an excellent team of real estate finance lawyers and a strong pipeline of transactions,” said Massaro. “As we look to expand, I anticipate building on the team’s prior successes and helping to position the firm as a go-to resource on a national level.”
Massaro holds a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, as well as a Master of Laws in Taxation from Northwestern University School of Law and a Master of Accountancy from University of Wisconsin. She joins Husch Blackwell from the Chicago office of White & Case LLP.
