National law firm Husch Blackwell continued its growth in California with the addition of labor and employment partner Jon McNutt, who joins the Los Angeles office, as a member of the firm’s Healthcare, Life Sciences, & Education industry group.
McNutt focuses his practice on assisting businesses, including education, transportation and logistics, and healthcare clients through complex labor and employment matters. He is a leading authority in traditional labor on behalf of management – advising employers in union campaigns, serving as chief negotiator in collective bargaining, defending employers in union grievances, arbitrations, representation cases, and unfair labor practice charges before the National Labor Relations Board.
McNutt counsels employers on a wide variety of employment and labor issues, including employee terminations, workplace investigations, management training, reduction-in-force planning, and conducts wage and hour and employer practices audits. McNutt also litigates high-stakes wage and hour class and Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) actions and single plaintiff employment suits, on behalf of employers in a variety of industries.

Having served as in-house and outside counsel over more than 20 years of practice, McNutt is well known in higher education, representing colleges and universities throughout California and across the nation.
