Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce it has been named a finalist in the International Data Corporation (IDC) Future Enterprise Best in Future of Work North America Awards in the Augmentation category.
The awards recognize “compelling North American initiatives that display agile and scalable approach to work,” according to IDC. In June 2021, Husch Blackwell received an influx of new litigation work without sufficient staff or technology support to handle it. After analyzing the volume and complexity of the work, the firm determined it needed three additional staff members and partnered with a vendor for a technology solution. Husch Blackwell‘s Robotic Processing Automation (RPA) team quickly identified a process to consume the information and documentation related to this new litigation, notify and distribute information for all staff and attorneys assigned to the work, and store the documentation in the enterprise document management solution.
“Our team’s quick action saved the firm an estimated $400,000 in unbudgeted expense in 2021 and each year moving forward,” said Bryan Smith, Manager – Process Improvement & Automation.
The team consisted of Tracy Krosnicki, Calvin Wei, Jill Garrison, Brian Garrison, Scott Munn, Peter Zimmer, Donal Barksdale and Deepa Srinivasa. “I’m proud of our team’s rapid execution on this project; their work really exhibited the client-first attitude we take toward every project.” said team leader Gene D’Aversa, Senior Director of Knowledge Management & Innovation Technology.
