Husch Blackwell partner Dave Lopez has been named by incoming Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen to serve as his chief of staff and as the Governor-Elect’s transition team director.
A former state Deputy Solicitor General and Assistant Attorney General, Lopez co-led Husch Blackwell's State Attorneys General practice team and handled litigation matters in trial and appellate courts, arguing more than 25 civil appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the Nebraska Supreme Court, and the Nebraska Court of Appeals.
Husch Blackwell’s State Attorneys General practice team is comprised of over two dozen lawyers—many of whom with direct experience in state government—and advocates for clients on important public policy positions and on cases of national importance in the federal district courts, appellate courts and in the U.S. Supreme Court.
