Ginger Gooch, a partner in the Husch Blackwell’s Springfield office, was appointed today to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District.

Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Ginger Gooch, a partner in the firm’s Springfield office, was appointed to the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District, by Missouri Governor Mike Parson.

As a member of the firm’s Healthcare, Life Sciences and Education business unit, Gooch maintained a wide-ranging litigation practice with emphases on employment law and complex commercial litigation for clients in the education, construction, and healthcare industries, among others.

With her appointment, the seven-member court will be comprised of four women and three men, the first majority-female appellate court division in Missouri history.

“The lawyers and staff of Husch Blackwell congratulate Ginger on her appointment to the bench,” said Catherine Hanaway, Husch Blackwell’s Chair. “She is a very talented lawyer and has been an excellent role model for so many of our female associates."

Gooch holds a J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Missouri Law Review. Prior to entering private practice, she clerked for the Honorable Ann Covington of the Supreme Court of Missouri. Gooch has been a partner with Husch Blackwell since 2008.
