Husch Blackwell partner Tessa Jacob has been appointed to The Sedona Conference Working Group 1 Steering Committee on Electronic Document Retention and Production. Jacob’s three-year term began in January.
Jacob was appointed to the Steering Committee “because of [her] capacity for dialogue and working to reach consensus, subject-matter expertise, significant contributions to brainstorming groups and drafting team efforts, and a demonstrated commitment to the mission of The Sedona Conference. Before being appointed to the Steering Committee, Jacob was the co-Editor-in-Chief of the Sedona Conference, Commentary on Rule 45 Subpoenas to Non-Parties, Second Edition, 22 SEDONA CONF. J. 1 (2020).
Based in Kansas City, Jacob has emerged over the course of her three decades in private practice as a leader in the area of electronic discovery. She routinely serves clients as e-discovery counsel in major litigations and government investigations. She also assists clients in developing and implementing consistent, defensible and repeatable legal hold and e-discovery solutions.
The Sedona Conference Working Group Series was launched in 2002 as a continuing forum to discuss some of the most challenging and tipping-point issues faced by the U.S. legal system. The mission of Working Group 1 (Electronic Document Retention and Production) is to develop principles, guidance and best practice recommendations for information governance and electronic discovery in the context of litigation, dispute resolution and investigations.
