Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that partner Jordan Ault has been named President-Elect of the United Methodist Church Conference Chancellors Association (UMC3), a national organization of attorneys who serve as legal advisors to the various Bishops and Annual Conferences of the United Methodist denomination.
“Working with the Missouri Annual Conference, Bishop Bob Farr, and the hundreds of United Methodist congregations across Missouri has been a highlight of my career,” Ault said. “I’m a better lawyer because of the constant guidance of fellow chancellors, and I am humbled and excited to step into this role with UMC3. This opportunity wouldn’t be possible without Husch Blackwell’s ‘Team UMC,’ including more than 40 legal professionals who helped support our United Methodist clients over the years.”
In 2019, Ault was elected to serve as Chancellor of the Missouri Conference of the United Methodist Church, a legal advisor to both the episcopacy and several hundred churches across the state. He will step into the role of president in 2024.
Based in the firm’s Jefferson City office, Ault launched and co-leads Husch Blackwell’s Nonprofit Organizations & Religious Institutions team. He represents nonprofit and religious clients in litigation, including employment matters, personal injury and abuse claims, contract disputes, and probate matters.
