Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that partner Kelli Meilink has been included in Ingram’s 2022 40 Under Forty class. The honor is reserved for Kansas City’s leaders, achievers, and newsmakers under the age of 40.
Meilink co-chairs the firm’s Immigration practice and has helped grow the practice to where it has not only more than doubled in size in the past few years, but also has gained national reach. She has a proven record of success and obtained terrific results for her clients in 2021. Over the past two years, she has guided her clients through complex immigration challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, including obtaining waivers of COVID-related travel bans for executives and specialists, navigating colleges and universities through special rules for international students, and assisting organizations in sponsor foreign national workers to address significant labor shortages in the agricultural industry.
Outside of the office, Meilink is a service-oriented professional contributing to her community in a variety of respects. She recently served a five-year term on the board of directors for the International Relations Council, a non-profit, non-partisan organization, whose mission is to strengthen Kansas City’s global perspective by maintaining an active dialogue around world events, global issues, and their impact on our community. Meilink also completed the Central Exchange Emerging Leaders program, a year-long leadership development program designed to accelerate the careers of women professionals. She is an active member of the Executive Recruiting Committee for our Kansas City office.
