National law firm Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Chief Executive Paul Eberle has been selected as a 2024 Titan 100, one of Wisconsin’s Top CEOs & C-Level Executives.
In 2018, Husch Blackwell appointed Eberle as the first leader of an Am Law 100 law firm who is not a lawyer by training. Eberle’s leadership has led to five straight years of year-over-year growth in headcount, revenue, and profitability. Husch Blackwell is one of only five firms in the Am Law 100 to deliver this long-term consistent success. More importantly, key measures of client satisfaction have also increased over this same period, with the firm’s Net Promotor Score (85)—a key indicator of client satisfaction across many non-legal industries—continuing at the “world class” level, far exceeding the legal industry average (32) and approaching NPSs posted by the strongest brands in the world.
In addition, Eberle’s leadership drove investments in technology, which provided a seamless transition to “work from home” at the beginning of the pandemic. His vision of the “Future of Work” provided multiple ways to work at Husch Blackwell after the pandemic, including our industry-leading fully remote office “The Link,” a virtual office unique among Am Law 100 firms. Eberle’s investment in technologists, AI, and other resources enabled the firm to develop significant expertise in alternative fee pricing, delivering “win-win” results for some of the firm’s largest clients. Eberle elevated diversity, equity, and inclusion to the firm’s overall strategic plan and followed through by hiring the firm’s first C-level diversity officer and making significant additional DE&I investments that have made a meaningful impact on the firm.
In the summer of 2022, Eberle announced his plans to step away from the firm in January 2024 to usher in a new era at Husch Blackwell. In July 2023, the firm announced Jamie Lawless as the firm’s chief executive elect.
The Titan 100 program recognizes the top 100 CEOs & C-level executives. They are Wisconsin's most accomplished business leaders in their industry using criteria that include demonstrating exceptional leadership, vision, and passion. Eberle will be recognized at the Titan 100 celebration on January 18th, 2024, at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
