National law firm Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that attorney Shaunessy Carr has been selected by The National Black Lawyers (NBL) for inclusion in its Top 40 Under 40 Black Lawyers, an honor given to a select group of lawyers with reputations for providing excellent representation in their respective practice areas.
Based in St. Louis, Carr is a member of the firm’s Corporate Real Estate team.
"I want to acknowledge my mentors, Cacki Jewart and Husch Blackwell alum Tricia Jackson, who played a crucial role in developing my legal skills by providing guidance, feedback, and real-world insights I could not have gained from textbooks alone," Carr said. "They generously share their experiences, including both successes and challenges, which have helped me navigate complex legal issues more confidently.
"Additionally, I want to recognize my Diversity Liaison, Tessa Jacob, who has been a steadfast advocate and sponsor of my success. Tessa's support has fostered a more inclusive workplace culture, ultimately strengthening Husch Blackwell's reputation for inclusivity and excellence in legal services, ensuring sustained success in a diverse and dynamic legal landscape."
The NBL celebrates legal excellence by promoting attorneys as subject-matter experts, developing a strong national network of top African American attorneys, and facilitating the exchange of timely information to enable members to maintain their status as leaders. Membership in the NBL is by invitation only and is based on current member referrals and independent research.
