National law firm Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce that Lawyers of Color (LoC) will honor partners Chalon Clark, Tessa Jacob, and Nikelle Meade in its inaugural Wonderful Women list, which recognizes women attorneys working in law firms, companies, and government agencies across the U.S. who show promise in their careers and demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession.
Based in Dallas, Clark represents clients across industries before state and federal courts and on appeal on a myriad of issues including, contract disputes, commercial lease disputes, contract and lease risk mitigation, construction, products liability, life insurance claims and disputes, collection-related matters, foreclosures, fraud, banking, partnership, real property, mortgage and commercial lending, and brokerage/securities.
Jacob leads the firm’s eDiscovery Solutions team and has spearheaded efforts to provide consistent, defensible, and repeatable eDiscovery solutions for clients. Based in Kansas City, Jacob is a member of Husch Blackwell’s Technology, Manufacturing, and Transportation industry group.
Meade represents clients in all aspects of local government and real estate with an emphasis in land use and real estate development, public-private partnerships, procurement, and governmental affairs. She is based in Husch Blackwell’s Austin office and is a member of the firm’s Real Estate, Development & Construction industry group.
LoC’s selection committee comprises editorial staff, fellows and advisers who spend months reviewing nominations and researching legal publications to identify promising candidates. Nominations were accepted from mentors, peers, and colleagues. Editorial picks were made based on research of attorneys who had noteworthy accomplishments, giving special attention to candidates who were active in diversity pipeline initiatives.
Additionally, Lawyers of Color honored attorney Sophia George in its annual Hot List, which recognizes junior- and mid-level attorneys working in law firms, companies, and government agencies across the U.S. who show promise in their careers and demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession.
George is based in Husch Blackwell’s virtual office, The Link, and is a member of the firm’s Real Estate, Development & Construction industry group.
