Webinar

View Recording

As challenges and costs arise in taking electric service from a centralized transmission and distribution system, many Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) customers have begun to explore ways of creating private-use networks or other “off-grid” and microgrid solutions. In partnership with generation developers or with customer-owned generation, ERCOT customers have been seeking ways to create such private-use networks as a means of enhancing their supply reliability, reducing energy cost, diversifying their energy supply, and participating in wholesale markets.

This webinar will describe the common elements involved in such networks in ERCOT, their advantages and disadvantages, and how to establish and maintain them.
