John Redding will present, "Auto Finance Update: Federal Trade Commission's CARS Rule (Combating Auto Retail Scams)," at the ABA Business Law Spring Meeting on Friday, April 25, 2025.
The panel will discuss the Fifth Circuit’s decision to strike down the FTC CARS Rule. We will also discuss other relevant litigation and rulemaking updates in the auto finance space, including New York and CFPB’s lawsuit against a subprime auto finance company and Pennsylvania’s settlements with auto title lenders in Delaware, following the Third Circuit’s ruling that Pennsylvania can apply its law to Delaware lenders.
