Jordan Bergkamp will present, "New ESOPs – Post-Closing to Dos," at the Annual Employee Ownership Conference on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
The ESOP transaction has closed. Now what? The "to-do" list continues. This session is geared to help participants identify the tasks needed on a post-transaction basis related to financial tasks, organizational tasks, corporate governance tasks and ESOP administration tasks. These tasks include one-time tasks and ongoing/annual tasks. The panel will cover the responsible parties for those possible tasks, recognize any pertinent deadlines, and develop a possible timeline/checklist for attendees to take home. This timeline/checklist will aid participants in crafting a post-closing checklist and establishing an annual administration checklist for ongoing management.
Learning objectives:
- Identify the one-time and ongoing post-closing tasks for financial, organizational, ESOP administrative, and corporate governance considerations.
- Clarify the service providers and internal employees charged with each task.
- Develop an annual checklist that can be used for ongoing administrative tasks.
