President Trump recently issued an Executive Order dated Friday, May 1, 2020, which prohibits the U.S. bulk-power system from acquiring or installing certain equipment sourced from “foreign adversary” suppliers. Then, on Monday, May 4, 2020, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced that it was initiating a Section 232 investigation to consider expanding import tariffs imposed on certain electrical transformer components. This webinar will discuss these two developments and their likely effect on the U.S. electric power industry and its supply chain.
