This year promises to be ground-breaking in U.S. privacy law. Though the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) went into effect on January 1, 2020, the California attorney general’s office has yet to publish final interpretative regulations. In the meantime, privacy advocates have submitted a second ballot measure in California, CCPA 2.0, and the California legislature has started considering further amendments. In addition, legislatures in Illinois, Virginia, Washington, Nebraska, New Hampshire and Hawaii are considering CCPA-like privacy laws. Other states are expected to follow.
During this webinar, we will provide an overview of this rapidly changing privacy law landscape.
