Inspiring and Enabling Our Communities to Grow

Husch Blackwell is deeply committed to the communities we call home. That means collaborating with a wide range of organizations as we look for creative ways to make our cities and towns stronger, healthier, and safer.

Our firm and individual team members provide a broad range of support to hundreds of local and national charitable organizations. We assist scores of local United Way agencies, Legal Services Corporation entities, and many other nonprofit organizations. To us, the real impact is not measured by the number of hours we have volunteered or by the dollars we have donated but by the lives of those we have served.

Philanthropy and community service 2023 highlights:
44
firm sponsored volunteer projects
305
professionals participating
1,737
volunteer hours donated
$1.8M
firm donations to nonprofits throughout the U.S.
$275K+
employee donations to Employee Giving, United Way, and Disaster Relief
50
nonprofits supported through Employee Giving, United Way, and Disaster Relief

HB doesn’t encourage community service just because it looks good on a report—community engagement makes us better lawyers and people. Community service provides opportunities for personal growth by exposing us to diverse perspectives and challenges. Whether by providing pro bono legal services, coaching youth sports, or volunteering at a local food pantry, it is vital to “give back” and improve the lives of our neighbors. Husch Blackwell’s commitment to community service is one of the many ways we differentiate ourselves from our competitors.
