An attorney who cut his teeth during the Great Recession, Christopher represents clients throughout the insolvency process as well as those working with insolvent business partners.
Christopher guides clients in all facets of insolvency law, with a practice that covers much more than bankruptcy alone. Banks, private equity firms, mortgage companies, and other consumer lenders turn to Christopher for support in receiverships, workouts, loan enforcement, lender defense, collateral and asset recovery, and consumer finance defense. Clients, including those in the manufacturing sector, also rely on him to counsel them on various issues arising out of the Uniform Commercial Code in the midst of contract disputes, especially when those disputes involve complex code issues or solvency concerns.
In addition, Christopher is frequently called on to advise businesses whose customers or suppliers are insolvent, helping recover as much as possible. His practice also includes a growing number of Missouri cannabis receiverships, including a recent matter where the creditor client received full payment—a result that stands out in this emerging area.
Drawn to insolvency law during his student days thanks to its blend of statutory analysis and creative problem-solving, Christopher has devoted his entire career to the field. After graduating from law school field during the recession, he first joined the firm in 2010 in asset recovery and bankruptcy, before expanding into the broader world of insolvency. Christopher is extensively experienced with all manner of insolvency matters, and years of experience in court and at hearings have made him a deeply confident and effective oral advocate.
Clients appreciate that Christopher takes the time to listen and understand overall business goals beyond the insolvency matter at hand. He aims to provide advice that not only fits the legal need but serves the client’s broader business situation—balancing legal strategy with practical realities.
