Overview

Baylee represents healthcare clients in regulatory compliance matters and litigation. She practices from Atlanta via our Link virtual office.

Baylee works with hospitals, health systems, and physician practices on both regulatory compliance and litigation matters. She advises on a wide range of healthcare regulations and related issues, including the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Eliminating Kickbacks in Recovery Act (EKRA), Georgia Certificate of Need requirements, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and state privacy laws, corporate practice of medicine questions, Medicare and Medicaid billing, and insurance regulations. Baylee’s work covers both state and federal requirements, and while she mostly serves clients based in Georgia and the Southeast, her practice is growing nationwide.

On the litigation side, Baylee focuses primarily on managed care disputes, Georgia Certificate of Need matters, fraud and abuse claims, and medical staff disputes. In many of these cases, interpretation of healthcare rules and regulations is the central issue, allowing her to draw on her deep body of regulatory knowledge.

Baylee’s interest in healthcare began early, growing up with a physician father and seeing the field firsthand through hospital volunteer work. While she wasn’t interested in pursuing a career in medicine, she knew she wanted to remain involved in healthcare. When a strong interest in reading, writing, and analysis led Baylee to law school, she chose to focus on healthcare law.

Clients rely on Baylee’s confidence in drafting briefs and preparing for court, depositions, and hearings, a strength that developed early in her legal career. Careful preparation, attention to detail, and creative problem solving are hallmarks of her approach.
