As a former federal clerk, Clayton understands the nuances and challenges of litigation.
Due to the diverse issues in legal practice, Clayton knew that as an attorney he would always find stimulating challenges and avenues to help others. Today, the very nature of his work means that there are always problems waiting to be solved. Clayton looks forward to tackling complex new problems and finding innovative ways to help clients navigate them.
A strong interest in research and writing drove him to become an articles editor for the George Mason Law Review. Clayton particularly enjoys public speaking and won several awards for his oral advocacy while in law school. Clients also appreciate his leadership abilities, which he grew while serving as chief justice of George Mason’s Moot Court Board. Clayton uses these skills to give clients well-rounded, attentive service.
