As a labor and employment attorney, Cooper both advises clients on day-to-day employment matters and defends them should litigation become necessary.

Cooper regularly counsels clients on all matters of labor and employment law, ensuring compliance with various state and federal laws. Clients rely on Cooper to draft and advise on employment agreements, severance agreements, employee handbooks and various policies that their businesses need.

When litigation does arise, clients know Cooper will act diligently and strategically to help them succeed. He represents employers in state and federal court, arbitration, mediation and before administrative agencies. Cooper has a wide range of experience, including discrimination claims, wage and hour class actions, and traditional labor matters. Cooper also takes pride in his pro bono practice, advising non-profit organizations on employment issues.

Cooper cheers on his favorite sports teams, stays active and travels the globe.

An Oklahoma State alumnus and Kansas City native, Cooper is a huge fan of the OSU Cowboys, and Kansas City Royals and Chiefs. He enjoys playing sports, too, including basketball, tennis and golf.

Cooper is also an avid traveler, having visited Austria, Germany, Ireland, Thailand and 40 of the 50 U.S. states.
