Jonathon defends clients in product liability and labor and employment matters.
As an undergraduate environmental studies major, Jonathon was inspired by the impact he saw attorneys having in his field and enrolled in law school. His favorite courses were always those taught by practicing attorneys with discussions of their experiences, and he was eager to jump in and make a real-world impact for clients. After graduation, Jonathan accepted a position with a New York law firm handling land use matters. He worked extensively with building and environmental permits, including securing permits for major telecommunications providers.
Now a member of Husch Blackwell’s Minneapolis office, Jonathon focuses his current practice on product liability and employment law. He defends clients against various chemical exposure allegations and is particularly experienced with mold after representing a military housing provider whose properties allegedly contained the substance. His litigation experience also includes mediation relating to employee dismissal after FMLA leave. In addition, Jonathon counsels clients on federal and state employment law, helping them avoid potential litigation. He frequently advises on employee handbooks and necessary revisions after new legislation.
Jonathon loves working with clients, hearing their perspectives, and working to fit each new piece of information into the puzzle of each case. He’s known for his openness to new ideas and strategies and for bringing a fresh perspective to matters, as well as for his responsiveness at any hour.
