Kasey A. Ciolfi

Senior Associate
Overview

Kasey focuses her practice on healthcare regulatory matters, helping clients resolve situations before they become problems.

Kasey was first drawn to healthcare as a law student, recognizing that this was a field where both attorneys and practitioners had the opportunity to effect real change that would touch people’s lives.

Today, Kasey advises healthcare providers on compliance with state and federal regulatory matters. She also helps them resolve issues with regulatory bodies, including public health departments, state health agencies, the Office of Health and Human Services, the Office of Elder Affairs and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Kasey has developed relationships with many regulatory agencies, allowing her to solve client problems quickly. She frequently works with Medicare regulations and payment issues and is extensively familiar with Medicare Advantage and Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) compliance.

Many of the clients Kasey assists are large healthcare providers seeking to expand their services. She handles the determination of need process as well as licensure filing, and she brings in-house experience to the table: prior to joining the firm, Kasey worked internally at various healthcare providers, gaining an inside understanding of the business needs of growing organizations.

Kasey is known for her responsiveness and for the relationships she builds with clients. Her aim is for it to be easy and natural for clients to reach out to her, and she stays in frequent touch, working to spot potential problems and solve them early.

Outside the Office

Kasey and her husband recently purchased a house, and much of her free time currently goes to the extensive home improvements they’ve become involved in.

When she’s not working on the house, you can usually find her hanging out with her lab mix dog, whose extensive energy requires a walk at least twice a day, regardless of the weather.
