As Senior Director of Pro Bono & Community Impact, Margaret leads Husch Blackwell’s multifaceted approach to advancing access to justice, strengthening communities, and fostering positive social change.

She oversees the firm’s innovative pro bono and community engagement initiatives, which include strategic charitable giving, employee volunteerism, and a robust portfolio of legal services for underserved populations.

Margaret leads a diverse team of professionals and attorneys dedicated to a wide range of impact areas, from civil rights litigation and juvenile advocacy to groundbreaking programs such as Communities for Change and collaborative pro bono partnerships with clients. Under her guidance, the firm’s pro bono work addresses critical legal needs in civil rights, juvenile law, economic empowerment, and beyond — ensuring that individuals, families, and nonprofits receive high-quality representation and support.

In addition to developing and delivering training to equip attorneys for impactful service, Margaret partners with nonprofit organizations, community groups, and corporate clients to maximize the firm’s collective impact. Her strategic oversight extends to charitable giving and volunteer initiatives, aligning resources with meaningful opportunities for service and engagement across the country.

Before joining Husch Blackwell, Margaret practiced environmental law and maintained an active pro bono docket, including work as a guardian ad litem and with Legal Aid of Western Missouri. She is a recognized leader in both civic and professional circles, passionate about building partnerships that drive lasting change.
