Outside the Office

Maysa enjoys time with family, and is an adventurous cook.

Maysa enjoys making the most of St. Louis’ Forest Park. She also spends time with her immediate family in the city. A particular passion is ethnic cooking – Mediterranean, Asian, Palestinian – a hobby she shares with her mother. Recipes not required. The two will choose a photo or a novel ingredient from the grocery store, and create from there.

Community Leadership

Maysa coaches students on building trial skills.

Since 2017, Maysa has volunteered as the weekly head coach for Saint Louis University’s (SLU) undergraduate mock trial team. Largely attended by pre-law students, the team also includes pre-med students and others who want to enhance skills such as public speaking. Having gained so much, herself, through the team as a student, Maysa was eager to take up the opportunity to coach. She’s also an adjunct professor in SLU’s pre-law department.
