Overview

As head of practice innovation, Sverre drives initiatives that enhance the quality, efficiency, and impact of the firm’s legal services, transforming them to deliver better outcomes and lasting value for the firm’s clients.

Based in the firm’s Transformation Office, Sverre leads teams focused on pricing strategy, operational efficiency, knowledge management, and workflows powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and other emerging technologies. He also co-leads the firm’s Digital Services team, advancing tools and processes that transform attorney training, recruiting, practice structure, pricing, marketing, and day-to-day legal work.

Sverre’s passion for innovation is grounded in a 30-year career spanning private practice and senior business leadership. He spent two decades building a successful corporate practice serving businesses and their owners, and most recently led the firm’s Financial Services & Capital Markets business unit through a period of sustained growth in revenue and client service. Beyond law, he has held senior business roles, including as a chief executive of a shared services company and chief administrative officer of a global healthcare technology company. That combination—practicing lawyer, business operator, and consumer of legal services—gives him an unusually practical perspective on what clients actually need and how the firm can deliver it.

Outside the Office

When Sverre isn’t innovating at the firm, he’s with his family—his wife, Sara, their three children, Aliya, Ezra, and Isabel, and their dogs Ole and Ukulele. He’s also a passionate woodworker and home cook, casual vibe coder, and a voracious reader, from novels to the latest on AI and the understanding of human consciousness. An avid hiker and mountain biker, he enjoys trails around Madison and across the U.S., and often spends weekends with the whole family cheering on his kids in their various endeavors.
