With a nationwide bankruptcy practice, Tara represents creditors, landlords, and corporate and high net worth debtors in bankruptcy and insolvency matters.

Tara focuses her practice on restructurings, creditors’ rights, collections, and bankruptcy matters, managing bankruptcy cases throughout their full life cycle. She has represented a diverse range of clients throughout her career, including taxing authorities, government entities, utility companies, real estate developers, Chapter 7 and 11 trustees, and corporate entities. Her extensive background in insolvency law has positioned her as a trusted advisor in high-stakes cases, including those involving major real estate, retail, and oil and gas bankruptcies. Currently, Tara most often represents landlords and large national companies as creditors and is particularly passionate about expanding her work with complex Chapter 11 debtors.

Tara has dealt with bankruptcy courts across the country and has experience in nearly every U.S. bankruptcy jurisdiction. She is well-versed in the intricacies of local bankruptcy rules alongside the federal bankruptcy code, and she has represented creditors in nationwide matters.

After beginning her career in property tax, Tara transitioned to creditor and debtor work and discovered a passion for the complexity of bankruptcy law. She particularly enjoys the multifaceted nature of the practice area, which often intersects with real estate, oil and gas, and corporate matters.

Known as a strong advocate who will fight for clients, Tara takes pride in ensuring that clients never have to worry about cases she’s managing. She’s also someone clients simply enjoy working with—an attorney they actually want to call.

Outside the Office

Outside of work, Tara is an avid traveler and fitness enthusiast. She maintains a rigorous workout routine and enjoys traveling with her three children, offering them a wealth of cultural experiences. Their journeys have included destinations such as Europe, the Caribbean, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Canada.
