Husch Blackwell’s renewable energy team assisted Arevon Energy in the closing of financing for the 228 MW Posey Solar Project located in Southern Indiana.
Husch Blackwell served as project development and local counsel to Arevon through the development and debt financing of the Posey Solar project.
The Posey Solar Project financial close included a $317 million construction loan from Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), and a $35 million letter of credit facility from Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
The project, which will be acquired by Southern Indiana Gas and Electric Company upon completion, is expected to come online in Q1 2025, and will generate enough clean electricity to annually power the equivalent of almost 40,000 homes.
The Husch Blackwell team was led by partner Anna Kimbrell and senior associate Kirsten Large, and included Riley Nickel, Megan Caldwell, Mara Pollets, Mike Blackwell, Leah Kaiser, Mason Quiñones, Yasmin Stiggons, and Tina Chamblee.
