Husch Blackwell Continues Expansion in Southeast with Addition of Partner Ryan Burke

News Releases

Husch Blackwell is pleased to announce the addition of litigation partner Ryan Burke, continuing the firm’s growth in the Southeast. Burke is based in Atlanta and joins the firm’s virtual office, The Link

Burke brings deep experience in complex insurance coverage litigation and a strong foundation in commercial litigation, both regionally and nationally. He advises clients on insurance coverage disputes, bad faith claims, healthcare compliance, and complex litigation involving contractual rights and tort liability. His representative matters include successful outcomes for national insurance carriers and healthcare providers facing regulatory and coverage challenges.

“Ryan is a standout litigator with a remarkable track record in insurance, healthcare, and commercial disputes,” said Sverre Roang, leader of the firm’s Financial Services and Capital Markets industry group. “His ability to navigate complex insurance issues, paired with his strong client relationships and business acumen, will be a tremendous asset to our clients and existing team in a key geographic market.”

“Ryan brings the type of high-caliber, collaborative talent we are looking for as we continue to grow our healthcare litigation practice,” said partner Curt Chase, leader of Husch Blackwell’s Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Education industry group.

Burke—who joins Husch Blackwell from Morris, Manning & Martin—is the latest in a series of strategic additions that are growing the firm’s Southeast footprint. He follows two other healthcare partners in Atlanta, Bob Threlkeld and Elliott Coward, who also joined from Morris Manning and worked closely with Burke. In addition, the firm expanded its team early this spring by welcoming Lorna McGeorge and Nick Agnello in Florida, and Erin Hughes in Nashville.

“I’m excited to join Husch Blackwell and rejoin Bob and Elliott,” said Burke. “I have been impressed with the firm’s investment in Atlanta and its collaborative approach and talented lawyers. I look forward to continuing to grow my practice and the firm’s Atlanta presence.”
