Overview

Brian is a detail-focused negotiator who wants every line of a renewable energy contract to serve the client’s interest.

Brian guides energy clients at each stage of their projects: from idea through implementation and beyond. Throughout the framework of a project – site planning, design, financing and sale – Brian’s goal is to negotiate transactions that protect clients for the long term. Adhering to complex time lines, Brian helps energy developers, lenders and tax equity investors through:

  • Drafting and securing site-control documents
  • Due diligence review on secured or prospective sites
  • Drafting real estate curative documents to prepare projects for financing
  • Project financing
  • Sale of project to prospective purchasers

Clients value Brian’s navigation of a wide range of real estate and energy transactions. They appreciate his background in contract analysis and working with oil and gas companies and his former position as in-house counsel for a financial institution. Brian understands legal priorities from a business perspective, and brings that knowledge to his customized solutions for each client as they imagine, design, fund and build critical renewable energy sources.
