Overview

Alexandra provides clients with strategic advice to protect their intellectual property rights worldwide.

Alexandra came to the practice of law from a background in biotechnology research, where she was first introduced to the concept of intellectual property protection. Drawn to the idea of protecting innovative research, she entered law school and focused on intellectual property prosecution.

Today, Alexandra advises clients regarding strategies to protect and enforce their intellectual property, including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters. She works with a wide variety of clients, from individuals to multinational companies, in many different industries ranging from financial services to life sciences to entertainment.

Alexandra concentrates her practice on intellectual property portfolio management. She has a particular focus on global trademark portfolios, some of which contain hundreds of marks around the world. Relatedly, she advises on initial mark selection and clearance practice, prosecutes domestic and international trademark applications, and counsels clients on enforcement strategies. In addition, she has experience in Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) proceedings, including appeals, cancellations, and oppositions, and in Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings.

Clients appreciate the depth of Alexandra’s intellectual property knowledge, as well as her creative approach to their filing and protection strategies. Most of all, though, they value her practical business focus: Alexandra understands that clients are operating first and foremost as businesses, and any advice and strategies she offers must fit with their business goals.
