Maggie assists clients with a diverse range of intellectual property needs.

With a background in civil engineering, Maggie merges her passion for technology and the law to help clients achieve their goals. As a patent attorney, she assists clients in prosecuting patent applications for new inventions and technologies, conducts patentability and freedom-to-operate searches, and counsels clients on the strategic use of intellectual property assets. Her work also extends to trademark prosecution, where she helps clients clear and register trademarks and manages and enforces their trademark portfolios with diligence.

In addition to her patent and trademark work, Maggie is well-versed in drafting and negotiating agreements in the technology and intellectual property licensing space, ranging from complex software agreements to trademark licensing agreements. She also provides counsel on general corporate matters and mergers and acquisitions, especially those with intellectual property implications. Maggie finds great reward in helping clients achieve their objectives and protect their assets. She thrives on the interaction with clients and values the continuous learning that comes with each new technology and innovation.

Outside the Office

Maggie loves to travel and celebrated her law school graduation with a 2½-week trip through Europe with her sister. She also enjoys regular family trips to places closer to home—usually a Mexican beach or Grand Lake in Oklahoma.

At home in Kansas City, Maggie plays sand volleyball twice a week, keeps up with the Chiefs and KC Current, and enjoys attending concerts and live music events.
