Naomie is passionate about going to bat for clients.
Naomie knew from her college days that she wanted to be a litigator, and her experiences in law school and as a Husch Blackwell summer associate only confirmed her desire: she loved the excitement and adrenaline of litigation, and the opportunity to win for clients appealed to her hyper-competitive nature. Even as an early career associate, Naomie has excelled in the courtroom and currently divides her practice between construction and other real estate litigation, and disputes regarding guardianships and estate planning.
Outside of law, one of Naomie’s chief passions has always been real estate, and she is enthusiastic about investing in real property and flipping homes. It’s an interest that has made the Construction Litigation team a perfect fit. Naomie represents both construction companies and property owners, primarily with commercial construction projects, in breach of contract matters and payment disputes. She is also experienced with alternative dispute resolutions for high-value cases. Naomie also represents homeowners' associations in foreclosure cases involving nonpayment from condominium owners. Her HOA work has required extensive court appearances for hearings and summary judgment motions, with Naomie winning her first trial as a second-year associate over a foreclosure and money judgment action.
In addition to her real property work, Naomie serves as the co-coordinator of the firm’s guardianship clinic. The clinic assists low-income individuals, often minorities, who need to establish legal guardianships for adult relatives with disabilities, a process that often ends in court and in litigation. Naomie oversees the clinic’s work, assigns colleagues to matters, provides attorney training, and handles many cases directly—an experience that has led to her assisting with guardianship litigation for the firm’s traditional Private Wealth clients. Naomie also works with general probate litigation and values the personal and purpose-driven nature of trusts and estates work. She truly appreciates the opportunity to assist clients in protecting their family legacies.
Naomie brings a great passion for the law and for advocacy to her cases: she loves to win for clients, and she loves to connect with clients and assure them that she can solve their problems. A first-generation Congolese immigrant who speaks five languages fluently, Naomie also offers a diverse perspective and is especially passionate about working to support minorities and immigrant clients.
